Electroshock, Drugging, of Teen Gay Mormons at BYU (video)

Post by _Daheshist »

To begin with:

1. I am NOT gay or bi.
2. I don't think a gay or bi person will be "saved" in the Kingdom of Heaven (although this is also true of the vast great majority of heteros as well)
3. I DO believe that one's primary orientation can be changed (i.e. a homosexual cannot be changed into a heterosexual, but a homosexual can be changed into a bi-sexual who is primarily attracted to women)
4. I do NOT believe that any church or religion should be FORCED by the government to say "Gay is good" or FORCED to accept homosexuals as members in good standing.
5. I DO believe that what the Church (i.e. "The Brethren") did for many years to its gay men (electroshock therapy, and to some of its single women (deceiving them) was WRONG and that God could NOT possibly be inspiring them, because the Church CHANGED how it handled homosexual males TWICE!

I have stated in this forum before, that the Church has tried three separate approaches to "curing" Mormons who are homosexual:

1) Electroshock/drug-induced-vomiting-while-watching-gay-porn
HYPOCRISY

Then later...

2) Pressured marriages. The bishops were told, secretly, to ask "very attractive" young single Mormon women they should "date so and so" (whom the bishops knew were gay but the girls did not know). These deceptive couplings let to many marriages, with the girls only finding out later that their husbands are gay.
DECEPTION

Then later....

3) What the Church is doing now. Providing 12-Step Support Groups for gay Mormons who want to keep Church standards and be active in Church.
NOBLE EFFORT

Why did it take the Church three tries to do a "noble" thing? Where was the LORD behind electroshock/vomit/porn and "hook-up-gay-Mormon-men-with-overly-attractive-Mormon-girls-who-are-not-told-the-truth? Where was the Divine Inspiration in the first two "experiments"???

Some here have hinted that I was lying when I said that the Church had a secret program at BYU that pressured gay Mormon males (not females...for unexplained reasons) to watch gay and straight porn, and as they watched gay porn they would have to drink "vomit" medicine, and be shocked, and to masturbate to straight porn. The Church teaches that ALL PORN IS BAD AND HARMFUL!!! Yet, it showed gay and straight porn to these young men!!!

You wanted "evidence". Here are t.v. interviews with some of the LDS Men (I would guess ex-LDS now) who went through the Aversion Therapy at BYU many years ago. Their testimonies of what happened to them begin about minute 1:40:

This actually did happen to a friend of mine. And, my friend married the man. When his gay feelings finally surfaced, the couple went to the bishop for help. The bishop told them that they needed to have children as soon as possible, and that the husband needed to simply bury his feelings.

The couple is now divorced. My friend was a struggling single mother with three kids for quite some time. What is sad is that there was another young man who was really in love with her who was a non-member, and who she was dating at the same time. They actually ended up meeting up again, and eventually married. They are quite happy now, and he has officially adopted all of her kids. They also have two children of their own.

It makes me angry that the bishop pushed this other young man on her, knowing what he knew. (Yes, it did come out that the bishop knew the other husband was gay before they married). My friend could have avoided years of suffering. Of course, I realize that my friend made her own decision to marry who she married...but when a bishop recommends someone and you are in your early 20's, it holds a lot of weight.

This has happened probably hundreds of time. I should have told my bishop I had "homosexual inclinations". He probably would have hooked me up with a real "honey". Instead, the bishops always
tried to hook me up with the heifers.

p.s. I do NOT have homosexual inclinations. ;

I don't put too much weight into what youthinks.

I do put too much weight into fat Mormon women...because they have too much weight in them.

Daheshist, your posts seem more coherant and less angry these days.
I just wanted to say, that helps me read and understand you a bit better.
