Follow the Living (Guru)...Mormonism and Sant Mat

Mormonism reminds me a lot of Sant Mat, the "Way of the Saints" in India. This religion broke off from the Sikh religion about 140 years ago. It is based upon the belief that there are five Realms, the hightest Lord at the top. Our Realm is the lowest, governed by a semi-evil deity named "Kal" (Time). The "god" of the Bible and quran is Kal, the lowest of these gods. Anyway, to escape the Realm of Kal (material realm), one must follow a SatGuru, not a dead one, but a "Living SatGuru". No other way to get to the highest realm. The SatGuru initiates you (actually his deputies do) by teaching you five secret words. Using these words, your soul can by-pass the lower gods and reach the Highest God called Radha Soami (Soul-Lord). But, even knowing the secret words won't work, if you don't "follow the Living Guru".
All this sounds a LOT like Mormonism doesn' t it?
The Book of Mormon knows NOTHING of secret signs and tokens, following a "Living Prophet" etc. The Book of Mormon knows nothing of any of this. The Book of Mormon teaches that salvation comes by the grace of the Holy Messiah, after you call upon his Name for salvation.
