God Still At War With The Natural Man

D&C 121:12
12 And also that God hath set his hand and seal to change the times and seasons, and to blind their minds, that they may not understand his marvelous workings; that he may prove them also and take them in their own craftiness;
This can be taken as God ordaining our modern age. The ascent of man's craftiness. True that.
The pretense tradition of taking God for granted as a loving father who should and must dote upon every whim of mankind is as wrong as whining about not having it so and reviling God.
Children are whole in Christ and not the natural man. And yet every child that grows up to accountability falls and becomes the natural enemy of God, by pride mostly. Unwarranted presumption of affinity with God is the first proud act. Then the rebellion when God is not responsive is the second act of human pride. Both are fighting against God day and night in utter blindness that proves them. (We were sent here to be proven. [Oh, right, you forgot.])
Zion will be hard pressed to raise up children unto salvation without pride. The world is so practiced in pride that all is lost. Once sin is conceived in the hearts of men they are at enmity with God and have become his enemy. Flattering children to believe that they are not doomed is stupid. This fault condemns each generation to perilous tribulations and heroic and epic struggles if a few are ever to overcome the world.
How do you make peace with God? Do what he commanded to take his name upon you with full purpose of heart. Then he seriously changes you to become his son or daughter in a powerful act of creation that makes you forever after accountable being acquainted with his power. (This step would not be needed IF we already were his sons or daughters....duh!) We are no more born the children of God than the trees, animals, rocks and planets. Do any of them vaunt themselves up presumptuously. No. Only man is capable of deceiving himself. Is man fatally flawed? Is he some sort of freak? An idiot savant sort of monster that reviles against its maker? Mostly, I'd say. Yeah, mostly. The self righteous are the mos devilish monsters of all. (PHTS yeah right.)
Makes me wonder why God allowed man to ascend to the heights of our modern age. It must have everything to do with the kind of spirits that flood into this time period. So many. I don't want to only say man is a full on jerk because he still manages some decent acts of his own accord. He simply cannot help but take lightly that which is of eternal importance. But this is the most NOT innocent age. We are going to see the calamity of the fierce ending of this time and season. Why does man continue to blithely crowd into the box cars to be whisked away to their doom? You are being collected in the strong bands of human arrogance. Make a break for it.
Sorry, just wailing away for Zion. I fail to see it coming. It will have to be called home from whence it fled.
In the eyes of all nature, even the most ferocious of beasts, there is meekness. Not so in man.
