FamilySearch - Bizarre finds....

Post by _Drifting »

Albert Einstein has now been baptised by the Mormon Church.
His name was submitted by S.J.Moyes of Utah.

Here is a summary of Alberts recorded religious views:
Einstein's views about religious belief have been collected from interviews and original writings. These views covered Judaism, theological determinism, agnosticism, and humanism. He also wrote much about ethical culture, opting for Spinoza's god over belief in a personal god.

Then we have Napoleon Bonaparte (yes the Emperor).
Thanks to T. Dundee for this one.

Here are some of Napoleons comments about religion:
"Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet."
"All religions have been made by men."
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.”
Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric

"One, two, three...let's go shopping!"
Thomas S Monson - Prophet, Seer, Revelator

LOL. STS, your avatar fooled me, for a minute there I thought DCP had rejoined the fray.
