I wonder how long Dr Bradshaw will be employed by BYU.

Some other things I wonder:

What percentage of the 10% that were church sanctioned are also within the 20% that are angry?

What percentage of the married one's spouses know? What percentage of the children know?

Interesting that the families know two times as often than the church knows.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

The more I think about this topic, the more doubtful I feel that the church will alter its stance on homosexuality any time soon. I think if they were to come out (pun intended) with a new "revelation" accepting of homosexuality any time in the next 20 or 30 years, they would lose more of the membership than they have lost/will lose by maintaining their anti-gay posture. In fact, I seriously doubt I will live long enough to see Mormonism accept homosexuality, unless there is some kind of pressure that is brought to bear against them similar to the anti-polygamy pressure from the federal government in the late 19th century. Left to themselves, I think it will take 50+ years before anything changes.

I think it all depends on the amount of social pressure they're under. When the boycotts of BYU and Utah businesses start, I think that would be impetus for another convenient revelation. But who knows when that will happen. Whenever society as a whole figures it out, 20 years later the church will too.
