Joseph Smith's Book of Mormon teachings....

....where are they?

Joseph called the Book of Mormon the 'most correct' book and that people would draw closer to God through its principles than any other books.

So, I'm looking for what Joseph used the Book of Mormon to teach and I can't find an example of him using the Book of Mormon to teach or preach from.

Can you help me locate some?

Beyond that, I think there will be silence.

Seriously?

There's no example of Joseph teaching from the scriptures that God explicitly gave to him?

Drifting I started a similar thread sometime back. There was very little response to it, mostly I think because he did not teach from it.

I wonder if there are instances of him teaching from the Book of Commandments and or PoGP?

Maybe the reason was it was easier to produce new scripture than read old stuff.

I've been led to believe he did not preach from the Book of Mormon.

This cannot be true.

God makes Joseph Smith the Prophet of the restoration.
Then reveals directly to him the most correct scripture that the world has access to, containing the fullness of the Gospel.

And Joseph completely ignores it as a source to teach from?

Bump.

Come on guys and girls.

He must have taught something from it or used its contents in a letter or something.

Anyone?
Anyone at all?

He sent missionaries to preach to the Lamanites (indians) in the area. He wouldn't have done that if not for the Book of Mormon.

I would guess that the Book of Mormon made Joseph uncomfortable. He produced it at a time when he was fully cognizant of being a fraud. Later he probably believed in his own prophethood, and the Book of Mormon reminded him of where he started.

Honorentheos had a couple of remarks in my previous thread here.

There just isn't much.

When you think about it, if he was just the translator, instead of the author, it makes a little bit of sense. He would not be as familiar with it as the Bible. OTOH if he had help writing it from Cowdrey or Rigdon he would be in the same boat.

At any rate if it were divine then one would think it would have appeared a lot more in his future works. On the contrary he seems to have gone out of his way to develop theology that is either not found in the Book of Mormon or contradicts it.
