Brodie Voting

At the risk of incurring further disdain for autoerotic self-congratulatory back-slapping among cronies, I thought I'd mention that the Brodie Awards voting is now open:

If you feel so inclined, I'd appreciate a vote for my book.

Done, and you are up in another category also.

And I might point out MS Jack and this board are up for votes also.

Get your votes in early and often.

Done! It looks like you are starting strong, with a whopping 61% of the vote at this point.

I got stuck on the word 'autoerotic.' I sit here lost in thought....

Runtu,

Not finished reading yet. But thus far, I've really enjoyed living vicariously through your experience as I recall my own. Thank you.

It would seem that not many would have heard of most of these pieces to vote for. So I see no point. It just seems like people voting for their friends.

I don't know why anyone would covet these sort of nominations, and the "eternal rewards" that supposedly follow. Does anyone remember who won last year's Brodies, in every category? We're talking here about a maximum of something like 50 votes (often much less), to win a "Brodie", yet Runtu comes here almost begging for "Brodie" votes. It's almost as if he's not very confident his book can make it with Doubleday or the University of Illinois Press, and he has to pander to "Latter-day Main Street" for recognition.

Crumbs for hungry crows.

Runtu can do much better than that.
