Bill Hambiln, Destroying the Church one Post at a Time

Post by _Everybody Wang Chung »

Bill Hamblin has been spewing forth more vitriolic hate than usual. Just take a look at some of his recent posts directed toward Kevin Graham over at MAD:

This from one of the most rabidly anti-Muslim bigots I've every had the misfortune of encountering? Who regularly berates Mormons for not being sufficiently anti-Muslim? Now he tells us Mormons are too bigoted? Really?

Why does Bill think this is appropriate? Bill's actions are not only reflecting poorly on himself, MI, BYU and the Church, he is violating several provisions of BYU's Honor Code and several tenents of the Gospel.

More important, Bill's actions are reflecting poorly on the Church he claims to be defending.

Please stop, Bill. Your actions are having grave consequences.

Keep it up Billy-boy! Get angry and spew it out. You're nothing but a school teacher with a cheap education in a plastic manmade church. Heck, I'll bet Billy-boy can't even read the king's name on Facsimile No. 3 like Joe Smith could. The world is laughing at Mormon scholars! I'll bet Billy-boy wouldn't want to explain why an Egyptian god was called a slave by an uneducated farmboy, Joe Smith. Isn't that right, Billy-boy-blue?

Tare his ass to pieces, Kevin. Shove Facsimile No. 3 up Billy-boy's nose.

Hello, Everybody Wang Chung.

Nice to have you drop in, and glad to hear that things are going well with your (relatively) new calling.

I noticed that someone has installed a little code snippet that looks for the letters E,W and C, in that order, and when found, prints "Everybody Wang Chung".

My question here is: what if someone meant any of the following:

Conference on Early Warning
East West Center at Hawaii
Eastern Wyoming College
Elder Wisdom Circle
Electric Water Cooler
Extreme Wrestling Company
Enhanced Wireless Consortium
European Waste Catalogue
Encounters With Canada
Ekurhuleni West College, in South Africa
Endangering the welfare of a child
European Writers' Council, an umbrella organisation uniting writers' and literary translators' associations from Europe and neighbouring regions
European Works Council
Expected Week of Childbirth

Just one of the burning questions that come up here in a typical day.

To be fair, Shades is trying to reduce the number of acronyms to make it easier for newcomers to read.

Then he or she should just type it out like normal.

Yep.

Fair enough.

However, sometimes the stripping, expanding, and correcting can destroy the original cadence, nuance, and meaning. Negotiating language can be one of the real joys of life.

Besides, "srsly" means something quite different from "seriously."
