Another Example of the Curse of Cain COVER-UP
Posted: Sun Feb 12, 2012 10:16 pm
Below is an email I just received from "'Timothy" who insists that the Church "Never taught" that blacks were cursed or less valiant in the War in Heaven. Of course...I KNOW that the Church DID teach those things, as official doctrine, for 130 years. But, LDS Seminary teachers are now telling their students that the Curse of Cain Doctrine "was never a doctrine of the Church" and that the Brethren PREACHED AGAINST IT, and that blacks were banned NOT because they were cursed, but because white Mormons were too racist to accept them (i.e. the Brethren were just trying to 'protect' blacks....awwwww!). Read the words of this fool....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dude you are a moron. The Mormon church never teaches people who are born into the lineage of Cain were less valiant in heaven. Where'd you get that information, anti-mormon liberals who sit online and type crap about Mormons..? You think your online research provides you with so much information, that's why the church encourages people to stay away from anti-mormon sites as it drives people away, as evidence, you. Anything can be written online, I could write something about how Mormons don't allow people to even LOOK at people of the opposite sex and they would believe me.
I gotta admit your webpage sounds VERY convincing man, but the thing is. I know better than to believe anything I read about my church online. It seems that your sources are a bit off my friend. That letter could have been or easily was forged or made up to promote anti-mormonism. Here is what David O. McKay actually said....
In 1954, Church President David O. McKay taught: “There is not now, and there never has been a doctrine in this church that the negroes are under a divine curse. There is no doctrine in the church of any kind pertaining to the negro. ‘We believe’ that we have a scriptural precedent for withholding the priesthood from the negro. It is a practice, not a doctrine, and the practice someday will be changed. And that’s all there is to it.”
(NOTE: David McKay never said that...this was a report of what he said from Sterling McMurrin, an "Atheist Mormon"...one of the "Swearing Elders" who hated the Curse of Cain Doctrine....David O. McKay signed the 1947 Statement from the First Presidency that said Negroes were cursed, were less valiant in Heaven)
Did you ever stop to think maybe the practice was for a reason?
(NOTE: Yes, I've stopped to think a lot about it, too much! Spent tens of thousands of hours thinking about it, and researching it, when I should have gone to college and got married and raised a family....I KNOW WHY the Church banned blacks....because of the Curse of Cain Doctrine and Less-Valiant Doctrines....that is "WHY")
God did not want negroes to hold the priesthood at that time in history? It could've been, but probably not. Were all human as you once again forget, church members may have been racially corrupt at points in time, but they were raised to believe in that. As the world(members of the church too) began to see blacks as equal they had a change of heart, its not that the church taught against it.
(NOTE: Blacks got the priesthood in the Church ___NOT___ because Church members began to view them as equal, but because the Church was under HUGE pressures to do so, because of the Brasil Situation--the Church had already ordained thousands of white Brazilian men with Negro blood to the priesthood unwittingly---and also because the Federal Government was threatening to revoke the Church's tax-exempt status--the Church would have lost billions every year.....and YES the Church taught against black/white equality for many decades)
But that it wasn't correct in the modern day world. New revelation was received in 1978 after seeing the world change and maybe finally hearing what God was trying to tell him, and changed the practice. Hey, maybe I'm totally wrong, this is just my perception of things. Heres more evidence to support my claim...
Elder Bruce R. McConkie of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles stated:
There are statements in our literature by the early Brethren that we have interpreted to mean that the Negroes would not receive the priesthood in mortality. I have said the same things, and people write me letters and say, “You said such and such, and how is it now that we do such and such?” All I can say is that it is time disbelieving people repented and got in line and believed in a living, modern prophet. Forget everything that I have said, or what President Brigham Young or George Q. Cannon or whoever has said in days past that is contrary to the present revelation.
(NOTE: Nope, we are NOT going to forget it, because it is in history, and you never apologized for it)
We spoke with a limited understanding and without the light and knowledge that now has come into the world.
NOTE: Nope, sorry, I don't buy "the Church is getting more light" that 'new light" doctrine is used by the Jehovah's Witnesses to explain the contradictions and failed prophecies in their history too)
It doesn’t make a particle of difference wha anybody ever said about the Negro matter before the first day of June 1978. It is a new day and a new arrangement, and the Lord has now given the revelation that sheds light out into the world on this subject. As to any slivers of light or any particles of darkness of the past, we forget about them. We now do what meridian Israel did when the Lord said the gospel should go to the Gentiles. We forget all the statements that limited the gospel to the house of Israel, and we start going to the Gentiles.
I don't see how you can be so low as to go degrade the church you used to attend. I saw on your site you served a mission. From this, I know that you know the church is true.
(NOTE: I KNOW that the Church is NOT true.........based upon facts and evidence not 'feelings' which often can be wrong....Moonies have 'feelings' that Sun Myung-Moon is the Messiah....FLDS Church members have 'feelings' that Warren Jeffs is a true PRophet...dozens of young Mormon women had 'feelings' that My Roommate loved them and wanted to marry them, when in fact My Roommate thought they were fools, and whores, and only wanted them for sex, and considered them to be 'used toilet paper' to be used once and then thrown away....while these same women had 'feelings' I was a 'pervert' when in fact I was WORTHY and would have cut off my own penis before I would have had sex with it.....yes these girls were indeed UTTER FOOLS......so 'feelings' cannot be trusted!)
I'm praying that a change of heart will come over you. Please, reconsider, the things you have discovered on the internet has plagued your mind of all that you know to be true. I ask you with everything in me, ponder and pray. Ponder everything you have experienced in the church that converted you to the gospel.
(NOTE: My experiences in the Church have been...I was treated like crap by affluent Mormons, lied to and rug-pulled by Mormon women, shunned, falsely accused many times, disrespected, shall I go on???)
Pray to god that you may know the truth of the matter of which concerns you. I promise you if you ask with intent of receiving, know that you will receive, your answer will show itself to you.
(NOTE: I prayed many times about the Book of Mormon, and never once received a confirmation it was true....but I prayed that Dr. Dahesh would visit me, and He did, in 2005, sat on the corner of my bed, in broad daylight...now...you will DISMISS THAT AS Satanic....won't you? In other words, if I pray, but my prayer confirms a different religion...YOU will dismiss that and say that Satan answered my prayer? How convenient!!)
PLEASE! DON'T promote even more destruction of the church of the one you once attended.
(NOTE: The Church is hurting ITSELF by lying and trying to re-write its past. It is doing the damage, I am simply reporting on what the Church itself is doing...._____________LYING!_____________ It is the Church that tries to re-write, lie, deny, cover-up, that has caused and will cause the Great Exodus from the Mormon Church, now and in the future. Not me! My little website will do little but 'report' on what the Church itself is doing.)
I'm not asking you to go back to church or stop believing what you believe. But please don't promote things that will promote people to try and bag on Mormons even more. I, personally, know this church is true and I believe that you do too.
(NOTE: I personally KNOW it is NOT true...based upon hundreds of thousands of hours of research into facts and evidence, and not 'feelings' which often can be wrong)
I know some elements of the church are extremely hard to comprehend and even accept. Sometimes I question things in the church myself. You can't focus on these, were only human and we will never fully understand everything on this Earth. that's part of God's plan. Focus more on the things you know to be true. The Holy Ghost has manifested unto me the truth of the church, that's all I need to know. I don't need to know God's plans or ideas for everything, he has his own way. I'm going to ask you one more time, please, reconsider what you're doing and try to understand. The church is not racist, we do not change our history.
(NOTE: Granted, the Church is not racist NOW, but it was, very much so, for 130 years, and YES the Church ______is_______ absolutely trying to change its history and has done so and is doing so dishonestly)
You know we believe in receiving modern day revelation, the revelation came in 1978 that we should not withhold the priesthood from negroes and we didn't.
(NOTE: What do you mean "and we didn't"? The Church sure DID withhold it, and "the 1978 Revelation" was not a Revelation....it was a "statement" a decision Spencer W. Kimball had to make or face a loss of billions of dollars a year, among other things)
The past is very different and times are changing, this is why we need the prophet to guide us with his knowledge.
(NOTE: I agree! A Prophet to guide the Mormons would be grand, but Tommy Monson is NOT a Prophet! He does not prophesy. HE does not see visions. He does not receive Thus Saith the LORD Revelations. HE has no "Spirit of Discernment". He is a "Prophet" in name only!!!!)
One prayer is all I'm asking, try it and see what happens. Good luck to you my friend.
Sincerely,
Tim
