Go to www.youtube.com and type in "Celebrity Ghost Stories". Watch the episodes. There are now 18 hours of episodes. They are entertaining. The project will take you a while. But, watch them. After you watch all of them ask yourself:

1. Are all these people lying?

2. Do all these experiences have logical non-supernatural explanations?

Watch them first, before you come to conclusions.

1. They are delusional.

2. Yes. See number 1.

There is, to date, no credible scientific evidence to suggest the existence of anything supernatural. Thus, I remain skeptical to and unconvinced by these claims.

LOL. One of them should claim James Randi's million dollar prize. Oh, except for the slight problem that these supernatural experiences are not reproducible.

If I believed in the afterlife because of these kinds of stories, I'd also have to believe in UFO's and Bigfoot.

I think you don't know what "proof" means.

And of course these 'celebrities' are getting paid for their stories. Once you throw money in there, that always mucks things up as giving them an incentive to lie.

I don't think ghost stories are particularly good evidence (though I don't believe they should be discounted either). The first requirement to make an informed decision is to become familiar with the hardcopy literature.

Two particularly good online resources, though, are:

1. IANDS.

2. NDERF.

I think anyone who thoroughly studies the NDE phenomenon will, at least, withhold a final judgement. New developing technologies will see rapid advancements in this research in the coming years. And just a thought:

There must be no barriers to freedom of inquiry. There is no place for dogma in science. The scientist is free, and must be free to ask any question, to doubt any assertion, to seek for any evidence, to correct any errors. ... Our political life is also predicated on openness. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it and that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. And we know that as long as men are free to ask what they must, free to say what they think, free to think what they will, freedom can never be lost, and science can never regress. – J. Robert Oppenheimer

That's my say for the day. In any case, bring on the mockery.

Cheers.

I like watching the TV Show “The Haunted” on Animal Planet.

The Haunted : Animal Planet:

About The Haunted

THE HAUNTED chronicles true, chilling and terrifying stories of animals and their owners who are experiencing the unexplainable.

In each episode, a paranormal team investigates the grim cases using infrared cameras and sensitive recording devices. Does the evidence they collect point to visitors from the beyond?

We always withhold final judgement -at least in principle.

New developing technologies will see rapid advancements in this research in the coming years.

There must be no barriers to freedom of inquiry. There is no place for dogma in science. Science needs freedom for sure. But it also needs to have focus and be guided by a certain amount of common sense.
What motivation do we have for even suspecting that something like ghosts are real?
No more than for Leprechauns (which are also often "seen").
There are so many implausible things that might be true as long shots, but resources are limited.
As soon as it is clear to a majority of disinterested parties that there really is a measurable phenomenon in the light of day so to speak, then we will set about explaining it. As it stands, it is just what one would expect given the frailties of human imagination and perception.
The fringe scientists and ghost hunters are free to build ghost busting machines all they like and if every stray heat signature or bit of static electricity tickles their home made instruments and imaginations then fine too.

The Following information about the TV Show “The Haunted” is from Wikipedia:

Produced by Picture Shack Entertainment, the program features ghost stories and paranormal investigations involving animals. [1] With similar title and motion graphics, the show is a spin-off of Discovery Channel's A Haunting, another paranormal anthology series.
