ALL YOU NEED IS Jesus! But....

Evangelicals have told me since I was 18 years old:
"All you need is Jesus to be saved! That's all!"
They lied.
Once you recite "The Sinner's Prayer" (i.e. "Jesus come into my heart today and be my Lord and Savior"), you are "saved" but then you are told....
"Praise the Lord! Now you need to go to a good Bible believing Church!"
D: But, I'm saved! All I need is Jesus!
E: Yes, all you need is Jesus, but you MUST go to a Bible-believing Church, and pay the pastor a good salary so that he only needs to work a few hours a week, so the rest of the time he can prepare the sermon on Sunday!"
D: But, if I am SAVED, and ALL I NEED IS Jesus, then WHY do I have to pay a preacher to preach to me for 30 to 60 minutes on Sunday?
E: Well, YOU JUST DO! In fact, if you were REALLY saved, you would NOT ask us questions like this, you'd simply DO as WE are TELLING you to do!!!!
D: Please, answer me, if "all I need is Jesus" then WHY must I pay this pastor to preach on Sunday, so that he can have a beautiful wife, huge home, send his kids to private schools, while mine must go to public schools, a new car every year, trips to Israel and Hawaii? WHY must I do this, if ALL I NEED IS Jesus?
E: Look, hearing the Word of God rightly divided is necessary for your Walk in Christ.
D: But, I have access to all Bible Commentaries, and Word studies, online. If I don't know what a Verse means, all I have to do is type it in, and the writings and commentary of the best Bible scholars in the world are at my fingertips! Why do I need a pastor to tell me what the Bible says, if I am already SAVED, and I have all commentaries before me?
E: Look...YOU JUST DO! OK?????
