Will romney go through the temple as President?

I doubt he would be able to. Unless he had a temple worthy SS detail that could shadow him during the ceremony. Even then ,the media would start to ask what our president is doing in that secret ceremony. Best to just take a break from the temple for 4-8 years. Would he remain a member in good standing if he took 4-8 years off from attending the temple?

Romney could show up to the temple in jeans, go through without his apron, and blog about the signs and tokens. Since he's rich and famous, he'll always be a member in good standing.

Yeah, he'd remain a good member, just a like a doctor or police officer who's unable to attend sacrament meeting for long periods of time remains a member in good standing. Mormons who have worked with the White House have stated that the logistics would preclude an LDS president from going through the temple.

My guess Maklelan is that if he wanted to go to the temple, he would, we just wouldn't hear about it, say a private session on a Monday night when it is supposed to be closed.

We used to have only giant temples like the SLC and Washington temples. Now that they're churning them out so rapidly, we've got little McTemples going up all over the place.

I'm guessing the next evolution, and certainly something the church could save money with, would be the Templemobile. They could take some of those old Bookmobile vans that don't work anymore because kids don't want to read, and set up a temple room in there where 5 or 6 patrons could watch the film on a 42" LCD tv, then pass through a veil and set in a very small Celestial Room compartment at the back, before removing their costumes and exiting down the little stairway out the back.

The templemobile would still be seen pulling into the White House, so they could have it drive over to Camp David instead. That way the President could fulfill his temple obligations in privacy an sacred seclusion.

I'll admit it would be fun to know the President of the United States of America baptized proxy for me. Even though they might still be lacking physical bodies, the dead who await his work are likely feeling just a little pleasure right now. The pleasure of anticipation. Spirits can't feel that nearly as well as bodies can. We can only surmise.

Look, if there is to be extraordinary LDS art on display in the additional wings of the Romney Presidential Library in Provo, then Temple attendance while President is a must. Besides, the white Kevlar armor for the Secret Service detail has already been ordered.

They built a bowling alley in the White House for President Truman, why not a small Temple? Solves the security problem. For PR purposes they could call it a hot tub.

You are quite right, naming is important. Call it "the baths" and it would be much too provocative for many God fearing folks who would associate it with Saturday night, let alone what those of Roman proclivities would make of it.
