Ldsfaqs,

End of story?

If you could spend a day with any one of the Gods, what would you do? Let's say you choose to spend the day with Jesus. Where would you go? What would you talk about?

Ending the story would prevent you from pondering the above questions! So sad.

In the context of Christianity, to whom can the title/calling/label of special witness of Christ be accurately applied-mary magdalene, peter and the 11 less judas, paul, perhaps martin luther, the wesley brothers, charles spurgeon, william tyndale, pope john xxiii, mother teresa, mlk, dwight moody, billy graham, and every non- excommunicated apostle past and present of the cojcolds.

so what are the criteria for such a witness: lived and was a disciple of jesus during his earthly life OR had a authentic (heaven sent) vision and calling by god to be a witness OR was/is a card carrying member of the lds church who has been called by leaders of said church to be an apostle of said church OR is a truly born again man or woman who has believed in Christ and surrendered everything in this life to be a disciple of Christ and to do His will only in their life's journey.

Given the last OR there have been and are now literally hundreds of millions of special witnesses of Christ.

just sayin!!

There seems to be a paradox here. If God were to appear to an apostle, this apostle would now no longer have a reason for remaining, as his test of faith is over.....He now knows. His only possible reason for staying would be to testify to us of his meeting god, which gods won't let him do for fear of giving us too much proof.

That middle name is a stupid thing.

1. It can not be translated to most of the languages.
For example: the sentences "What do have John the Baptist and Winnie the Pooh have in common? They have the same middle name." makes no sense in Hungarian, because John the Baptist is Keresztelő János and Winnie the Pooh is Micimackó.

2. Today there is no GA without middle name. Even the non-English ones have that.
_JS, _BY, _JT, _WW and _LS could not be prophet today...

Except...

Apostle
An Apostle is a special witness of the name of Jesus Christ in all the world (see D&C 107:23). The Apostles administer the affairs of the Church throughout the world. Those who are ordained to the office of Apostle in the Melchizedek Priesthood are usually set apart as members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Each one is given all the keys of the kingdom of God on earth, but only the senior Apostle, who is President of the Church, actively exercises all of the keys. The others act under his direction.(Gospel Principles Chapter 14)

I am a special witness of the name of Christ. I hereby witness that the person, whether live or fictional, referred to as Jesus is commonly referred to by the title "Christ."

You are obviously a prophet, then, ldsfags.

Have you met Darrick Evenson?

They are special witnesses Of THE NAME of Jesus Christ.
An important distinction lest anyone be led to think to ask if they have seen Jesus.

And what on earth does that expression "special witnesses Of THE NAME of Jesus Christ" MEAN?

Does it mean they know his secret middle name, or what?

I always thought his middle name was an initial, H.
