Are FAT Mormon women more worthy than thin Mormon women?

In my case, it's not only the image of the perfect body that the media and porn have drilled into my head over the years that makes me not want to date heavy girls but the fact that I want to live a healthy lifestyle and I want a partner who can do that with me.

Question, if you were to compare the average build of a contemporary porn actress today to a typical "super model" wouldn't the porn girl have more meat on her bones then the model?

Yes. However, both have significantly less meat on their bones than a lot of the girls I meet in my daily life.

See, when I think of a heavy girl, I think of a girl who has a body fat percentage over 35% or who weighs over 200 lbs or something. I've dated girls who have the voluptuous body type before and who are overweight according to Hollywood standards but whom I thought were absolutely gorgeous. If I had to guess, I would probably put those girls in the 150 - 170 range.

I guess one of the problems here is one of definition. What I consider attractive another person might consider fat.

Also, I find it funny that all of the guys on the board are carping so much over a girl's weight when many of them are probably overweight in real life themselves. I am probably 20-30 pounds overweight for a guy, so I would have absolutely no problem dating a girl who was 20-30 pounds overweight. However, I am not 100 or even 75 pounds overweight for a guy, so I don't want a girl who is that much overweight. Also, I have been actively working on losing weight since the first of the year (down 10 lbs so far), and I similarly want someone committed to a healthy lifestyle.

(Not that I've ever seen any porn or anything) but there isn't a ton of difference between the performers in high quality porn and the skeletons that grace the catwalks. Of course a few pounds for enhancements but porn stars are usually pretty skinny.

I've noticed, for the most part, this is true. For the most part, sexy Mormon women are selfish little s***s, immoral self-centered brats, but fat Mormon women are humble, much less self-centered, more altruistic in their worldview.

Why?

There are theories. Their unattractiveness does two things:

1. Men don't fancy them, so they don't have sex out of wedlock, so they don't lose the Spiriit.

2. They don't fancy themselves that much either, so this causes them to be much less self-centered than the sexy Mormon woman.

Or maybe they really are less self-centered
Or maybe they really are more altruistic
Or maybe they really are more humble

Or maybe they value their own integrity and their character more than they give a rock solid damn about what men like you think of them so they don't spend their heartbeats trying to compete with their slender sisters.

Darrick, you have made a lot of sweeping generalizations with your thoughts here. It leads me to believe that you don't really have much respect for women, in general. Everything about your theories of how women act is tied into whether or not they are attractive to men. You leave no room open for women choosing to be giving, sweet, or helpful, simply because they want to be. You are also stating that the only reason women choose to do good things is in order to be attractive to men in some way. Therefore, skinny girls would never choose to be kind, loving, etc., because they don't need to be; they are already attractive to men.

The attractiveness to men is what the entire existence of women boils down to for you. You don't regard women as individuals...as people..as simply part of the human race, like yourself. You obvjectify them.

I feel sorry for you. That is a sad way to live.

I understand that you have been burned by women, but have you not every known at least one woman who did not fall into these stereotypes?

I was trying to present a much more nuanced view of the whole weight issue. I have struggled with weight before in life, and I know many girls who have as well. Also, I have my personal preferences on whom I date (as does everyone else), and I was trying to explain those.

I think that there are some truly nice people, men and women, who are overweight. I wish them the best in life, and I hope that they find someone in life that makes them truly happy. My personal preference is not to date girls who are more than about 30 or so pounds overweight. Again, different people have different preferences.
