Harry Reid and Russell M Nelson at General Priesthood Marjorie Taylor-Greene

A friend of mine who was present at the general priesthood meeting Saturday night said Harry Reid was there, that before the meeting began, Russell M Nelson put his hands, both, on Brother Reid's shoulders while having a somewhat private conversation with him.
This will upset my in-laws greatly, if they hear about it from someone LDS that they trust, because they have for years denied it whenever I have mentioned that Harry is a Mormon. (My in-laws are a bit like bcspace, in that they believe to be a good Mormon, one must be conservative Mormon.) I imagine it can be dismissed, that Harry's not, at least, a 'good' Mormon.

LOL Of course Harry Reid is a Mormon. And he's a democrat too, as am I. I've met him and voted for him. He's a great example of what a Mormon should be in fact.

And a Democrat from the Obama administration, who has taught at BYU Law School, was made a general authority. Larry Echohawk.

I would love to see photographic proof of this. The Glenn Beckites on this board will explode in envy at the thought of Harry Reid being pals with the GAs.

Sounds to me like he might have been giving ol Harry a good talking to. Doesn't mean they are buddy buddy.
Further, as usual you all LIE about Mormons. We've never said their aren't Mormon Democrats or Liberals, only that that ideology and actions are contrary to the Restored Gospel, and they thus aren't a "good" Mormon for being a part of it.
Further, what you don't realize is that many in the Church still are under the false assumption that it's okay to be a Democrat. They still think it's the "old" Democrats where most were actually still mostly Conservatives. Many of the old guard don't realize that today's Democrat's are not the Democrat's of yesterday. Today's Democrat's are the Marxists, Socialists, Communists of the past which ideology is anathema to the Gospel, a perversion of it.
I hope one of these days the Brethren will start to realize what is occurring and speak against it.
It's no longer okay to be Democrat, because Democrat values are contrary to the Church.

Considering that you're satan's personal sock puppet, it does me a world of good to see you admit that there are Mormon democrats. A Mormon democrat from the OBAMA administration was just made a 70. How do you feel about that?

Duh, that guy was just brought closer to the center of Mormon power so that they might have a chance at saving his eternal soul.

That creates a problem. Either it means you can be a democrat and a good Mormon, or it means the brethren don't really have the gift of discernment as they called a Mormon who is not in good standing to the 70. Which is it, ldsfaqs?

LSDfaqs, do you find that our Church is God's truest representation of the John Birch Society?
