Your registration name is intriguing. Been a long time since I've been to Vernal. I was bored in Vernal then.
Hope you post soon.

It is.
I believe BiV posted here some time ago under another handle, although I can't remember what it was or where it's found. She is indeed a gem to have if she sticks around.
Welcome to MDB, BiV!

On the about us section, Bored on Vernal wrote:A feminist pacifist liberal Mormon mother of eight, BiV began blogging several years ago to relieve a terrible case of boredom while living in Vernal, Utah. She is a poet and stay-at-home blogger with research interests in Old Testament literary technique, nineteenth century LDS theology and twenty-first century Mormon fundamentalism.
Curious what she deems "twenty-first century Mormon fundamentalism", and which aspects of it interests her.

Bored in Vernal? But they have dinosaurs!
Now Duchesne.....yeah, I can see being bored in that vacant hellhole. (For those who are not familiar with Utah, Duchesne is pronounced "Duchesne.")

The Utah Fire Museum is in Grantsville, which is right next to Tooele. I've never been to this museum, though.

Wikipedia article on Duchesene: Judge M.M. Smith recalls "one man asked me to write out a relinquishment for him, remarking, 'I must either give up my claim or my wife. She won't live here.'"
