Anyone can publish any title they want, but if they want such to be officially recognized by an organization, they will publish under it's auspices. BRM's "Mormon Doctrine" is not published by the Church, case closed.

. . .and thus the LDS church is not a Christian church. It was not organized under the auspices of the Christian creeds. Anyone can put any title on their church that they want. But that doesn't mean they are officially recognized as "Christian". Case closed.

(I hope this little word game shows how shallow the "in the name" argument is)

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Oh man. (Wipes tears). I've got to go clean myself up. I soiled myself. That was just amazing. Where do you come up with quips like that? I especially liked how you accused me of saying something that I didn't say. Brilliant!

I got told.

Perhaps you need a bit more fiber in your diet.

I especially liked how you accused me of saying something that I didn't say.

No, you didn’t “say” it, but the inference was clear enough.
