It's just the fact that Mormonism is lies and has absolutely no positive evidence. If the Book of Mormon were true the Leaders would not fear conducting a public archeological excavation at the base of the Hill Cumorah, considering the plates were put back on the Hill by Joseph Smith and a hillside dig violates their doctrine.(if in fact that statement still stands as doctrine) Supposedly they fear people wandering around looking for buried treasures, hopefully none will be wearing top hats on their hunt. However, the base is not the hillside, and with a war of that magnitude there would be some sort of evidence at the base. So why not search If the LDS weren't lying to their people they'd surely allow an excavation.
When a Mormon compares the validity of the Bible to the Book of Mormon, you can then ask them the question, Are you christian? Because they aren't christian if they are speculating to the validity of the New Testament. If a Mormon speculates to the validity of the Old Testament, Ask them if they argue the existence of the Neanderthal. Ask them If they Believe Adam/Michale to be the first born man and Eve the first woman as their temple teaches... Ask did Jesus not say I'm the alpha and the omega.

That is stupid on several levels. First, the plates were returned to God and aren't in Mormon hill. Second, Mormon hill isn't the hill Cumorah. And third, there is a much simpler test to determine if Mormonism is a fraud or not. In fact, it is the very test Mormons ask all investigators to perform. Just speak to God and if God doesn't answer you, it's a fraud.

Yes it is the same hill!
Now you're lying?
Why are you lying?

There is nothing in Mormon hill. God has the plates. The hill Cumorah, where the rest of the Nephite records are, is most likely down near Guatemala somewhere. The problem with Mormonism (and Christianity) is there just is little to no proof that they are true. I have often wondered about this and the only conclusion I can make is God does this on purpose. God wants us to seek him and speak with him instead of simply believing someone else because they can produce some artifact to demonstrate that God exists. The only proof that God exists is God showing up and demonstrating the fact; otherwise, any reasonable person shouldn't believe it. That should be the default Mormon position and if you want to believe otherwise - well, you have noone to blame but yourself.

Now you are saying Mormon is isn't the hill of the final battle either, I'm not saying look for the plates, look for bones, steel, gold buttons, anything, compare that battle to anything. there would be something.

Mormon hill, where Moroni buried the Book of Mormon, is not the hill Cumorah. It is a common misconception in and outside of the Church.

Oh, so there are multiple statements from multiple prophets regarding the actual location... laughable.

Of course there are. Joseph Smith, himself, didn't know where the Book of Mormon took place either. He subscribed to a number of ideas during his lifetime.

So an excavation would be pointless?

Yes.
