Liberty University has invited Mormon Mitt Romney to deliver its 2012 commencement address.
http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/04/2 ... -response/Problem is that Liberty U being a christian school teaches their students that Mormonism isn’t part of the Christian faith.
“I can’t support Romney and I am happy I decided not to walk (in the commencement) this year,” wrote student Josh Bergmann. “Liberty University should have gotten a Christian to speak not someone who practices a cult. Shame on you Liberty University.”
Things like this will likely not bode well for Mitt's campaign against Obama.

Hehe, I really look forward to this election. What are the fundie christians going to do? Pick the Mormon or the Muslim (by not voting)? As far as I can see, Obama is easily going to be re-elected which is all I really care about any way.

Reading some of the quotes by these fundies is just too funny.
Like this one:
Asked what he thought about Romney being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ken Brooks said he teaches that Mormonism isn't Christianity. "He don't believe in the same Jesus that we do," Brooks said. "But he's better than voting for a Muslim."

Talk:Joseph Smith Jr. (This quote needs some verifying)"If the people will let us alone we will preach the gospel in peace. But if they come on to molest us, we will establish our religion by the sword. We will trample down our enemies and make it one gore of blood from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was 'the Alcoran [Koran] or the Sword.' So shall it eventually be with us -- '"Joseph Smith or the Sword!'" (October 14th, 1838 in the town square at Far West, Missouri)

Does Liberty U have a rule that only Christians, by its definition, can give a commencement speech there. If not, I don't see how this is hypocritical on their part.

Yes, it's very sad....
Anti-mormon Conservatives
Anti-mormon Christians.
Anti-Conservative so-called Conservatives
Liberal Mormons
The above people need to learn that we are not to embrace such bigotry and the perversions and deceptions of the evil one.
Those who are on the Right Hand of God religiously and politically need to actually be on his right hand, rather than having a hand in the world embracing the above evils.

Yeah, thank God there are still some people around who are faithful to the teachings of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.
Like Warren Jeffs, for example.
