What unique contributions from Brigham Young are left?

It seems that Brigham Young's most striking revelations have all fallen by the wayside at one time or another. Adam God is gone (leaving echoes in the idea of Jesus having been born of a sexual union, which took longer to disappear), blood atonement is gone (the only remnant being Utah's firing squad death penalty), the priesthood ban and doctrine of black inferiority/white supremacy are gone.
Is anything unique to Brigham left in the church today? I mean, besides a general hostility to outsiders in Utah Mormon culture.
Talmage wasn't even the president, and he was instrumental in defining Jehovah as being Jesus once and for all, to finally refute the last vestiges of Adam-God. Was Talmage more influential than Young?

Depends on which part of Mormonism you are referring to.

I posted challenge already ;)
With as much of what Brigham taught being declared wrong...... Please provide an example of what he got right.
Adam-God ~ Wrong
Mary God sex ~ Wrong
Priesthood Ban ~ Wrong
Blood Atonement ~ Wrong
Now please point to a teaching that is distinctly Brigham, something where he is not parroting Joseph or some common christian belief that he did get right.
It is easy to fill up a manual when a guy spouts as much as he did. Did you ever go the the source of the quotes for the manual and see how heavily redacted and censored the stuff that was in the manual was? There was only one reference to polygamy in the manual and it was in passing, not any doctrinal discussion of it.
Again, please provide one distinctly Brigham teaching that you are not now dismissing.
Nobody replied. Everything that was distinctively Brigham has been esteemed dross and abandoned to history.

The Cult of Brigham Young of Latter-day Saints died off long ago. He was a crazed Mormon prophet who shot his mouth of too many times. Mormons don't care what he thought anymore. His personal writings are peppered with all kinds of false doctrines and things that make the old Mormon church smell bad.
But newer Mormonism is on a different path as they attempt to further mainstream themselves and achieve greater acceptance. The Cult of Tommy Monson of Latter-day Saints will soon die off and another cult leader will try his luck. But Mormonism will never win out. I'ts a cult and everyone knows it.
I often wondered how many women Brigham-boy slept with at one time. Can you imagine? Orgy.

Just wait until TSM has been dead for 145 years--Pepsi and cookies and visiting widow ladies will have been discredited too.

Was BY responsible for the way city streets are laid out in Utah--on the grid? If so, that still lives on. But maybe he just borrowed that from Joseph Smith. Did Nauvoo have a Center Street and then a grid with numbered streets?

According to Wikipedia, BY based SLC's layout on Joseph Smith's "Plat of the City of Zion," which he drew up in 1833 and was intended to be a model for Mormon settlements wherever they were built.
Maybe ZCMI could be considered a lasting BY contribution. The name no longer endures but the legacy of the church being involved in shopping centers certainly does.

That's what I've always understood the SLC layout to be based on, so that's Joseph Smith.

That's a possibility. He also set up schools that survive.
As far as the religion is concerned, Brigham Young always held himself out as a disciple of Joseph Smith, and his contributions (even most of the teachings that have been abandoned) seem to be extensions of Joseph Smith's ideas and approaches. I would say his unique contribution to (Brighamite) Mormonism is twofold: (1) the preservation and development of what Joseph Smith started, and (2) a handy scapegoat for deflecting criticism of the ills that naturally came from what Joseph Smith started.

Finally, we've found Brother Brigham's prophetic legacy
