Back in the 70’s (year not quorum) when Berry Gordy Jr asked me to help him revitalize Motown by relocating it Los Angeles, I agreed based on one condition, that he let me teach one discussion to each artist. As a result 7 Temptations, 3 Miracles and a Pip entered the waters of baptism. It was truly a blessed day for the Church. There was also one very pregnant singer whose name I cannot recall and who I always called Shades due to the large sunglasses she wore. She seemed very interested in the gospel and testified to me that she knew it was true and when she could she would join the church but because of her present delicate condition she would wait. She liked the nickname I gave her so much she promised me she would name her child Shades. I always wondered what became of that lady and her baby.
