The Mormons claim that if you want something bad enough, you'll feel a warming sensation in your bosom and that is the HG testifying to you that Mormonism is 'true'. Despite the 'leap of faith' there (pun intended), why doesn't the HG just tell you audibly in your native language?

Why is the HG non-verbal?

And if we're onto the feelings versus logic gangplank, then I have to say that I have experienced much stronger, positive feelings from sex, even before I was married, than the bosom warming. So if I take the Mormon feelings methodology to heart, does that prove that Mormon Church is wrong in its stance that pre-marital sex is wrong?

My own experience is that sex is much stronger emotionally than praying about the Book of Mormon. Is there a Church of Sex that I should join?

If God made it obvious, then it would detract from free will. Remember we've been told that faith is a choice? It all comes down whether you choose to go along or not.

When I pursued personal revelation, with a vengeance, over many years and with some success, I sensed the "still small voice" to be various individuals. I always assumed that the HG's part in all of this was some unspoken conveyance of knowledge, which in my case, would come with intense tears of joy.

I wonder why he took that away from Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Sidney Rigdon, Peter et. al., Noah and sons, Brother of Jared and whoever else those dudes showed themselves to!

But isn't this what it all boils down to? God is not explicit so that you can all make your own choices.

What of value does a blind (lack of evidence) choice by any of us do for this god? How does it 'float his or her boat'?
