Plate tectonics (from the Late Latin tectonicus, from the Greek: τεκτονικός "pertaining to building") is a scientific theory that describes the large-scale motions of Earth's lithosphere. The theory builds on the concepts of continental drift, developed during the first decades of the 20th century. It was accepted by the geoscientific community after the concepts of seafloor spreading were developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

He shall command the great deep, and it shall be driven back into the north countries, and the islands shall become one land; And the land of Jerusalem and the land of Zion shall be turned back into their own place, and the earth shall be like as it was in the days before it was divided.

There is a Latin saying:
Invenit interdum caeca columba pisum.
= Sometimes a blind pigeon finds a pea.
There is a Hungarian one:
Vak tyúk is talál szemet.
= Even a blind hen can find a grain.
...or a turkey...

Wiki is wrong. It is now called plate tectonics. Others had played around with the idea previously. Clavigero mentioned it. Volume 2, p. 210-211 And he cites his sources. Georges Louis LeClerc, Comte de Buffon, volume 29.

We know Joseph had a very literal-minded understanding of the Old Testament:
Genesis 10:25
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg;
for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
