Should Romney's wife die he may freely remarry inasmuch as he can be sealed to his second wife and have marriage in the hereafter with two women. So, Romney really isn't covering his basis very honestly, in my opinion.
Away with tradition. Let gays marry. Marriage is a relationship between two people who are legally bound together in living their lives as one. America is supposed to be the land of the free and a land where people can live their lives without mother England's control or by being bound by Bible traditions that condemn gay lifestyles.
Paul, did you ever see the "30 days" episode following an LDS women who went to live a gay couple(two dads) who were raising adopted children?
Those dads were incredible! Despite this, the Mormon lady would not allow herself to concede that she was among a very healty and happy family, clearly in an effort to justify the religion of her birth.
It is odd to see a group who has such strained history with unconventional marriage practices itself, oppose equality in marriage today.
I don't expect to see same-sex marriage in Utah within my lifetime. - Scott Lloyd, Oct 23 2013
Marriage is nothing more than a civil contract. No big deal. Why is it a big deal for Mormons today? Should we ask Brigham Young?
Marriage is a civil contract. You might as well make a law to say how many children a man shall have, as to make a law to say how many wives he shall have. It would be as sensible to make a law to say how many horses or oxen he shall possess, or how many cows his wife shall milk. If a woman wants to live with me as a wife, all right; but the law says you must not marry her, and own her as your wife openly. As the law stands, she can come home to me, not as my wife, you know; she can sweep my house, make my bed, help me to make the butter and cheese, and share in all my pleasure and wealth, but the ceremony of marriage must not be performed. This is what is practiced in the outside world from the President in his chair to the lowest dog-whipper on the street that has means to obtain. They have their mistresses, and thereby violate every principle of virtue, chastity and righteousness.

Why is Romney taking this social issue bait? He can probably win the Presidency by articulating two words, "the economy", and yet he's willing to take up this fight in order to nail down the conservative right that's going to vote for him anyway.

Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
MASH quotes I peeked in the back [of the Bible] Frank, the Devil did it. I avoid church religiously. This isn't one of my sermons, I expect you to listen.
Will son Tagg's new born twins have to be sealed to him seeing that their birth mother is not his wife?
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.
Romney needs to brush up on his church history. Mormons need to know about how their founding prophet loved so many women! Behold, Joseph the lady's man! Give your wives and daughters to Joseph!

I've seen it. I got major second hand embarrassment for the lady and the church.

OK, so BY has his faults, but it just seems odd that of all the souls god has at his disposal, this is the guy he chooses to run his kingdom on earth.

Now that's a great quote, and so applicable to the situation.
So does Romney get a free pass on this hypocrisy, because no one wants to be perceived as attacking his religion?
I know all politicians lie, but Romney really has taken it to an art form.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
