In a thread on the other board, the much beloved Kevin Graham said something along the line that he would really like to have faith. Assuming his stated desire is genuine, and given that he has evidently been banned from the other board, I have decided to come here to see if I can help him with his unbelief.

To be clear, I have no other interest here than that. For Kevin's sake, I am making this one exception to my self-banning at this board, and will only be responding to relevant posts to this thread.

At the outset I think it wise to first make sure whether Kevin would really like to have faith in God and the restored gospel of Christ, and whether he is willing and ready to have his mind and heart opened once again to spiritual growth. Are you?

Please don't do this Wade. If anyone could convince Kevin Graham to reconsider his lack of religious allegiance, it would certainly not be you. If it has any effect, and he does not simply ignore you, your appearance with your missionary bicycle, shirt and badge is only likely to tempt him to loud laughter, and so add to the mountain of sins he already has to repent.

I am sure you must be aware of this. If you are so aware, then the most reasonable conclusion is that you are just here to make yourself feel saintly, despite the lack of even the smallest possible chance that you will influence Kevin Graham. If you are not so aware, then you are simply a rather foolish person.

I can see how you might see it that way. However, if it turns out that Kevin's desire is genuine, and he is open and willing, then one of the first notions I plan to introduce is humility, which, if accepted by him, should minimize, if not eliminate, the things behind your stated concerns.

I do agree - but the difference between Wade and a troll (under my definition of the word 'troll', at any rate), is that the troll has to have the self-awareness to know that what he is really doing is not what he is purporting to do, and Wade does not have any degree of insight of that kind. He has deep communication difficulties, for which I do not blame him.

Sorry, I am not going to take your ironic bait. I am not here to argue or debate or exchange insults with you or anyone else. I meant what I said about only wishing to help Kevin, or anyone else for that matter, with their unbelief.
