Here is the official doctrine on the matter...

We should avoid anything that we know is harmful to our bodies. We should not use any substance that is habit forming. We should also avoid overeating.

Overeating generally refers to the long-term consumption of excess food in relation to the energy that an organism expends (or expels via excretion), leading to weight gaining and often obesity.

That is correct. However, the Church judges "good standing" in this area only by the items forbidden: Coffee, Tea, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Harmful Drugs. So one can see that abiding only be those items or even carrying a TR are not necessarily signs of personal righteousness or good standing with God. However, God has not defined overeating or obesity (except standards for missionary service) so one cannot always judge another in this way.

By the same principle, a TR carrying Mormon who is a Democrat is not in good standing with the Lord. We can tell because the Democratic Party is known to be in opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and so righteous judgement on this issue is easy to make.

Of the items you listed, only tobacco is forbidden by the WOW.

Why is Thomas S Monson calling people not in good standing with the Lord to high office?

Running with this idea, that those weighing more than the standard metropolitan life insurance tables indicate as within the accepted range are out of compliance with the word of wisdom, would be a means of reducing both the size of members and well as the number of members.

Speaking of insurance, I'm at 16% body fat which is good for my sex and age. However, I also have more than average muscle mass, because I go to the gym, which is heavy and increases my BMI and therefore negatively affects any insurance premiums which uses BMI.

I was talking about the WOW, not Grant's heresy.
