Despite the verbiage in the Utah State Constitution, Polygyamy survives and now can thrive.
http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=960&si ... d=queue-13"The purpose of this policy is to prevent the future prosecution in Utah County of bigamist marriages entered into for religious reasons," Buhman wrote in a memorandum supporting his motion to dismiss.

Utah County's new policy is similar to that of the Utah Attorney General's Office.
"This policy is not intended to just apply to the Browns," Buhman wrote in the memorandum, "but is meant to stand as a permanent policy of the Utah County Attorney's Office to be applied equally to anyone engaged in the practice of polygamy."

Yeah, why should we loose out on all that TAX money to Arizona, Texas, Canada, Mexico. It's our practice, so we should reap all the Tax benefits from it.

Other than for religious reasons, why shouldn't consenting adults marry whomever they want? The only issue is whether or not the state recognizes such marriages and there is only need to recognize monogamous heterosexual marriages.

sweet Mary, is it opposite day?
Maklelan is promoting same sex marriage in direct contradiction to the Church and Bcspace is promoting adultery.

No, you just haven't been paying attention. I've always supported the notion that, legally, consenting adults should be able to enter into any kind of relationship they want. I just don't support the notion that all those relationships should be recognized and benefited by the state though private entities should be able to do as they please in that regard.
At the religious level, in no way do I condone plural marriage as it is not authorized by God at this time, nor do I condone adultery, fornication, or homosexuality; and all those LDS engaging in such activities should be subject to Church discipline as per the LDS Church's doctrine and policy.
