I think this is a positive step. I wonder if anyone will address this "Mormons building bridges" effort in Sacrament Meeting.

Jesus might have said "Love Everyone" and all that, but Jesus doesn't speak publicly anymore. Or if he does, it's too sacred to talk about.

So instead, he has a group of old men downtown Salt Lake speak for him. And they are saying that LGBT is wrong and that it's OK to make a little cash on the side by sending them to Evergreen.

From The Book of Mormon we learn that wickedness never was happiness. Some suppose that they were pre-set, and cannot overcome what they feel are inborn tendencies toward the impure and unnatural. Not so. Why would our Heavenly Father do that to anyone? Remember, he is our Father.

Meanwhile, over on the KSL comments section, obedient Mormons are saying:

I agree. I think this is a defining moment in the history of Mormonism.

No one has disciplined me although I wrote my last bishop and told him I am an unrepentent gay Mormon that has denounced the faith. He told me that he has a gay sibling and is not going to judge me. So, I'm still a member.

I had my records moved to follow my new address, living in the ilume in the middle of the gayborhood -- gay bars and clubs accross the street, right here on Cedar Springs Rd -- gay Dallas. I don't think priesthood leaders will come around here looking for me. I live in the safest place from Mormons in all of Texas! Hell yeah!

Never been a need. These types of things are all about fomenting a change in doctrine and policy which hasn't happened nor will it happen. In the meantime, the teaching has always been to love the sinner.

Yes they should. Romans 1:32

Just think how it would be if every person in the parade was disciplined by the church for supporting gay rights and objecting to church policy. That would make the national news and make the church look bad. Then they could hold a second parade, one much larger and more powerful! One parade right after another.

Gay rights are coming to a Mormon chapel near you. Just wait until the new and upcoming apostles realize and confess that science and people prove that gay love is beautiful.
