In some languages the word "glass" (=Solid material, typically a mix of inorganic compounds, usually transparent or translucent, hard, brittle, and impervious to the natural elements) has another meaning, something usually made of glass, especially a drinking vessel.
Well, that vessel in English is cup.
In Hungarian, it is bottle.

I like the bottle dance, Ludwig.
There is a traditional Basque dance where the girls jump onto a glass of wine several times with both feet, but must not spill any of the wine. They perform it even here in anti-alcohol Utah.
