What if God was a true cowboy?

Post by _zeezrom »

Hello fabulous people!

What if God was/is a true cowboy?

Would it disappoint you? Scare you? Comfort you? How would it make you feel? How would your prayers change? Would you use different wording?

I think you need to read the novel The Backslider, by Mormon writer Levi Peterson. There you will be introduced to the Cowboy Jesus.

If holy writ read like cowboy poetry, and the sacrament consisted of Navajo Tacos, I'd be mighty tempted to find religion.

Pass the peyote, pilgrim.

Hello precious and amazing Zee!

What if God was/is a true cowboy?

Would it disappoint you?

No
Scare you?

No
Comfort you?

No
How would it make you feel?

Like a Mormon, I would imagine.

How would your prayers change?

Instead of starting with "Dear God", I would start with "Howdie Creator"

Would you use different wording?

Yes, rather than thanking him for my day, I would tell him to "go ahead and make my day!"

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Zee.

You too, friend!

Peace,
