I guess it's true...people leave because they want to drink Cuban coffee, etc.

While LDS values and morals drew the Rubios to the faith, Rubio says, it was the religion’s ban on tobacco, alcohol and coffee that made staying tough.

"Some of the church’s rules were difficult for my parents, especially my father, to abide by," Rubio says, adding that his dad, who never joined the LDS Church, had smoked since age 13 and worked as a bartender. Rubio says he chided his father for slinging booze, but also noted that Cuban coffee was a staple that neither parent would give up.

According to news sources, Rubio isn't even on the short list of VP, despite how he might help with the Hispanic vote. I wonder if the "exLDS" part of his family resume is an issue with Romney.

It would be interesting though to have a Mormon and and ex Mormon as P and VP.

I don't know how he was able to function without the gospel in his life. How did he resist the urge to rape, murder, and commit all manner of sin? How was he able to find any kind of happiness in his life as an exmormon? How was he able to become a US Senator without the Mormon Holy Ghost as a guide?

Yep, he is just the shell of the man he could have been.

It is enough that Mitt has a Sword of Laban. He does not additionally need the Spear of Destiny.
