According to Scott Lloyd of Deseret News: MI is in apostacy

Post by _lostindc »

While discussing the recent developments out of the MI, a poster by the name of Log states:

Log, on 21 June 2012 - 03:34 AM, said:
I cannot help but think this is extraordinarily bad news. Apostasy in high places, even.

Scott Lloyd was quick to jump in and offer concurrence and scripture:
Alma 62:44

Outraged by the direction the Church leadership and subsequently the MI decided to take, Mr. Lloyd goes on to rebuke said Church leadership and the MI stating:
To treat the man so shabbily and then to force him to raise funds for the very organization by which he has just been so ill-used strikes me as beyond shameful.

Lloyd appears very worried that the education wing of the LDS faith is going to abuse its employees and more specifically DCP.

One would think Mr. Lloyd would apologize for his open apostasy but instead he barrels forward throwing hay-makers. Deseret News Scott Lloyd throttles on to state his mistrust of BYU leadership:

To treat the man so shabbily and then to force him to raise funds for the very organization by which he has just been so ill-used strikes me as beyond shameful.

My concern is less about DCP and more about Scott Lloyd, William Hamblin, et al. and the possibility of apostasy. At this point, it is rather apparent that Scott Lloyd has crossed the line into apostasy. I hope this sojourn is short. We do not want him to become another Danite casualty much like William Schryver.

Yes, it appears that there is a core of "culture warriors" who believe that their particular ideologically tinged interpretation of Mormonism is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they are willing to call those who disagree with them, and do things they do not like, "apostates." I am surprised they don't go the full Schryver and call them "Apostate Evangelists."

It is wrong to criticize leaders of the church

Oh, Simon Belmont/oxygenadam/static. Now there is another fine fellow who would never stoop to using pseudonyms. I feel suddenly wistful. Isn't it time for another Simon sock puppet to enter the fray?

I was more trying to point out the post where Lloyd accidentally called Dan "Jesus Christ."

Freudian slip much, Scott?

Yes! That was delicious. It wasn't news, really. But thank you so much for bringing that slip to my attention. You are really, really sharp, Jack.

Your husband is one of those really lucky guys like me. He married up.

I just figured a reminder was in order in light of recent events, for anyone who hadn't seen it.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with him, too.

Wait!

Kish and Jack are married to the same guy?

Wow!

Wow. Talk about an interesting marital arrangement. Inter-faith, bi-sexual... dizzying. But no, I don't think so. Thanks.

Jack is a lovely lady, but I am not interested in her husband.

My wife would have something to say about it. Her statement would probably begin with my belongings in a dumpster.
