Wow what a come down from the scholarly and powerful days of Jack Welch running the show....... if this dude, Bradford ever gets called to be a General Authority......I can't in all conscience sustain such a closed mind numbskull. How on earth did he ever get the job in the first place?
I'm just saying I would have no reason to sustain someone who already knows it all without knowing anything and then misusing his power.....that would not a good General Authority make, and I would NOT sustain such an one. I am perfectly free to say no without God's wrath coming to visit me in earthquake, storm and UFO's - GRIN!
I hope to hear about the lone crazy man(probably with long hair again) at a future general conference when Bradford is getting sustained as a GA...

Hey Kerry-boy! Tell me about the Explanations of Facsimile No. 3! I await your Egyptological explantions and am prepared to rebuke them on the spot -- you sorry SOB -- liar for the Lord!
Kerry's mind, like so many others on that forum, is extremely pliable.
I hope Hamblin is proud of himself.
At least Bradford didn't try to rally a lynch mob against Peterson while treating his own one-sided biased account as gospel truth.
Clearly Bradford has outclassed both of this poor scholars. He hasn't tried to run to the internet to rally support. The only people who support Dan Peterson are those who belong to that same small faction of internet Mormons who have been worshiping him for decades. Most Mormons don't even know who Dan is, nor do they care if he was fired.
At least he took a break from learning the facets of the king's side rook.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
MASH quotes I peeked in the back [of the Bible] Frank, the Devil did it. I avoid church religiously. This isn't one of my sermons, I expect you to listen.
I would like to know on what basis Kerry is criticizing Bradford. Does he know something we don't? Or is Kevin right and Bradford was pretty much just following orders the best he could?
I understand that the loss of FARMS is a big deal, but we don't know for certain what will come out of this.
Maybe FAIR will develop into a beefier and more scholarly organization.
Maybe the Mormon Studies Review will provide the LDS Church with a credible academic publication in Mormon Studies.
In other words, this may be a win for everyone in the end.

for what it's worth, I just got off the phone with Kerry and he apologizes for jumping to conclusions based on limited information. He also says his comments have been misinterpreted and that he doesn't want to attack or blame Bradford for any of this.

Too late Kerry. You lost your shirt on this one.
My thread will remain until Jesus hits the delete button!

Agreed, Kerry is more than willing to grab his torch and pick and head for Bradford in hopes to get bloody revenge. Kerry has made a complete Hamblin out of himself the last 48 hours.
