Formal Discipline, next step for OMIDs?

I am on record stating the OMIDs will receive formal discipline by Church leadership. I say this because of experience from a first hand source.
Years back, I sat in on a Church meeting with a Church representative discussing "anti-Mormonism, apologetics," etc. This representative felt a "war drum" approach to battling those critical of Church history, doctrine, etc. was the incorrect method. He went on to tell a story (hopefully not a Dunn story) about a member of the Church who spent his days fighting with Church critics. This member apologist was asked to slow down and apply some control to his methods. The member continued to utilize the "war drum" method. The representative told us the member was heavily disciplined by Church leadership.
We now stand at a point in Mormon apologetic history where egos are hurt and anger is raised. Apologists have been ousted from posh positions that served as the method for notable publication within the LDS arena. After all, the purpose of getting into Mormon apologetics is to gain notoriety as a great defender of the faith, why else do these OMIDs get involved? Will the Bradford barrier halt the OMIDs quest for fame via publication and subsequently recognition? Obviously the OMIDs will not and are not going down without a fight and the fight has already begun to be dirty. The OMIDs have already been ousted by the Maxwell Institure, therefore if the OMIDs quest for battle continues then what is the next course of action to be taken by those in charge of the MI? Will the MI continue to stand by and take personal attacks from the OMIDs (who already have a long history of conducting personal attacks)? Will the leadership of the Church continue to let the Bill Hamblins, Will Schryvers, and DCPs attack the MI composed of notable members of the faith community? I am afraid Church leadership will be forced to formerly discipline the OMIDs because the OMIDs cannot bare the idea of losing their seat at the table.
