Well Wishes for Dr. Peterson

I see this whole event as a chance for Dr. Peterson to put on a much lighter suit of armor, embrace the generativity that comes with age, and be an outstanding "ambassador without a sword" for the Church. He has been given so many gifts and now he has the opportunity to try all of them out.

Knowing that the Church will survive without fighting fire with fire brings me a sense of comfort. The glory of Shelly's Kingdom of Ozymania may not be remembered for its once magnificent edifices nor the imposing army that guarded them, but all the positive karma it once released into the Universe is still there.

Live long and prosper Dr. Peterson.

I disagree with your view, Moksha. DCP is a goddamn skunk. He made his bed and now he can lie in it.

To hell with him.

Lay low Dan, seriously ... just lay low, enjoy your wife, your family, your new job.

Dan's been a mean sumbitch... if you kids want to kiss his ass, fine. Don't expect me to pucker up.

There is already a long line of Peterpologists (trademark Kevin Graham) waiting to kiss his ass. I just want to put a crown of thorns on his head as he takes his walk of shame after packing up his office

Why ask the leopard to change his spots?

It's very simple:

DCP is guilty of insubordination and his ass is grass. The damage is done. He's in for it.

Ehm...

Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelley:

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

We should quote classics as they are.

And how exactly do you "know" this, pray tell?

Whatever motivated this thread, I do wish Dr. Peterson well. While this is something of a blow, undoubtedly, I know he will pick himself up, brush himself off, and move forward with some new endeavor, perhaps a new FARMS, through which he can continue to pursue his passion of defending Mormonism.
