Hey all,

I am a friendly apostate who left the church about 9 years. I just discovered this board via the whole DCP fiasco. How come I didn't find it sooner. I have been periodically visiting MDD for a year or two, and I finally understand that is the the place that they refer to as "the other board". I don't know why they can't just name the board. It's almost treated like its Voldemort or something. I have been reading everyone's posts and am astounded at the refreshing dialogue and freedom allowed on this forum, so I decided to join. I thought I had tried all the boards and none of them fit my personality type, so I had given up on the online community.

RFM- Too angry, and too many Steve Benson circle jerks of his same 5 stories that he reposts ad nauseum

Post Mo - Too touchy feely

MDD - Entertaining but the flow of information is too tightly controlled. Too much DCP worshipping, plus I got banned twice for silly reasons.

Mormon Discussion - So far it seems like the right balance of everything.

Welcome. I'd advise joining one of the local gangs for protection.
