Homosexuality: Plain and Precious truth restored in the Book of Mormon

Post by _robuchan »

Step 1: bunch of BS from the Old Testament, including all the textual criticism stuff, use big words, dance around the subject without saying anything. maybe show that Aaron being described as eloquent in speech was a translation error from the Hebrew to the Septuagint, which originally said he was a little flamboyant with a great sense of style.

Step 2: describe Samuel the Lamanite as someone with no children and no wife. Maybe find a reference that he walked 100 miles. Most likely very thin and fit. Clearly living a homosexual lifestyle.

Step 3: dig through MesoAmerica research to find an obscure reference that homosexuality was practiced in region that could possibly fit Book of Mormon "geography" and in a time period within 500 years of Samuel the Lamanite. Bullseye!

If this seems obscure to you, then you must not be trained in ancient texts, or you are denying the Holy Ghost.

I'm liking this theory already. Samuel the *Fabulous* Lamanite.

Since there are so few female characters in the Book of Mormon, maybe they had a genetic predisposition towards a 99/100 male-female imbalance, and a compensatory hermaphroditic adaptation among half the males? More believable than sin=dark skin color.

None of the stones or arrows could hit him because of the frenzy of homophobia no doubt. What sillyness.

The curse Samuel the Lamanite put on the land took away all the artifacts today's archaeologist want to find. Interesting!

Helaman16:17-20
17 And behold, a acurse shall come upon the land, saith the Lord of Hosts, because of the peoples’ sake who are upon the land, yea, because of their wickedness and their abominations.
18 And it shall come to pass, saith the Lord of Hosts, yea, our great and true God, that whoso shall ahide up treasures in the earth shall find them again no more, because of the great curse of the land, save he be a righteous man and shall hide it up unto the Lord.
19 For I will, saith the Lord, that they shall hide up their atreasures unto me; and cursed be they who hide not up their treasures unto me; for none hideth up their treasures unto me save it be the righteous; and he that hideth not up his treasures unto me, cursed is he, and also the treasure, and none shall redeem it because of the curse of the land.
20 And the day shall come that they shall hide up their treasures, because they have set their hearts upon riches; and because they have set their hearts upon their riches, and will hide up their treasures when they shall flee before their enemies; because they will not hide them up unto me, cursed be they and also their treasures; and in that day shall they be smitten, saith the Lord.

Looks like the Lord intended to set-up our day for a test of faith.

There is no source saying Samuel did not having a wife. Come on.

Assuming the contradictory Bible is accurate. How would Paul know? This is his own prejudice coming out. We don't have t accept his prejudice just because it's in a supposedly holy book. And what credit, really, should we give hallucinating people anyway? We lock them up these days, but pretend they are valid if they lived eons ago? ridiculous.
