Joy is different than happiness! Really?

Post by _just me »

A recent comment from LittleNipper has caused me to reissue a question of mine.

What is joy? What is happiness?

What is the difference? How can your religion get me that difference?

I want definitions and results!

Happiness is holing a twenty foot putt, Joy is holing every twenty foot putt...

I think of "joy" as the background contentment that a person potentially experiences without consciously thinking about it.

"Happiness" is that conscious sense of WoW **** is really swell for me now. Like, when the wife drops the nightie and states, "well, are we going to get it on or what"!

Ahh...happiness
