Yesterday, the Great White Mormon Hope, otherwise known as Willard M. Romney, had this to say about releasing his tax forms for the unwashed masses to see:

In the political environment that exists today, the opposition research of the Obama campaign is looking for anything they can use to distract from the failure of the president to reignite our economy. And I’m simply not enthusiastic about giving them hundreds or thousands of more pages to pick through, distort, and lie about.

That sounds familiar. Back in 1928, Joseph Jr. composed the following, regarding the lost 116 Book of Mormon pages:

And, behold, Satan hath put it into their hearts to alter the words which you have caused to be written, or which you have translated, which have gone out of your hands; and behold I say unto you, that because they have altered the words, they read contrary from that which you translated and caused to be written; and on this wise the devil has sought to lay a cunning plan, that he may destroy this work; for he has put into their hearts to do this, that by lying they may say they have caught you in the words which you have pretended to translate.

As we can see, the tireless, scheming minions of Satan are still lying in wait, ready to take the words of the righteous and twist them into something evil, so as to deceive the people. Whether it be Martin Harris and his nasty wife, or the president with the Mark of Cain, the wicked have not changed their methods when it comes to thwarting the Lord's work.

And if you want more evidence of Brother Romney's Mormon bona fides, check out this quote, delivered at a high-cost fundraiser at a country club:

I know that people in this room are probably doing relatively well, relative to folks across this country. But not everyone in America is doing so well right now, it’s tough being middle class in America right now. The waiters and waitresses that come in and out of this room and offer us refreshments, they’re not having a good year.

Who, but a lifelong Mormon, calls food "refreshments"?

I can't wait until the televised debates. Romney will temporarily transfigure into Ronald Reagan, and prove that he is the rightful successor to the presidency.
