Apparently the subject matter of this book is seen as objectionable and is therefore deemed unacceptable in Islam (where polygamy is allowed under Shari'ah law.)

The following advisory came up on my screen when I checked the title out on Amazon:

This title is not available for customers from your location in:
Middle East (change region)

(This gave me me a chuckle.)

Hilarious.

What does that tell you?

From the review of the book on Amazon:
------- these women must feel that they have to life this lifestyle in order for future rewards in heaven (or the after life, or whatever terminology you would use) because otherwise I have no idea why they would stay in a situation where they are for the most part miserable and insecure. All the assurances that this lifestyle helps refine them doesn't feel honest to me, I think they are just trying to make the best of a bad situation. And none of the wives really hold Kody responsible for any of their unhappiness...they all love and accept him just as he is.

And Romney wonders why folks should think it a bit creepy that much of his extended family lives this lifestyle today in Mexico.

Polygamy is still doctrine...

61 And again, as pertaining to the law of the priesthood—if any man espouse a virgin, and desire to espouse another, and the first give her consent, and if he espouse the second, and they are virgins, and have vowed to no other man, then is he justified; he cannot commit adultery for they are given unto him; for he cannot commit adultery with that that belongeth unto him and to no one else.

62 And if he have ten virgins given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.

63 But if one or either of the ten virgins, after she is espoused, shall be with another man, she has committed adultery, and shall be destroyed; for they are given unto him to multiply and replenish the earth, according to my commandment, and to fulfil the promise which was given by my Father before the foundation of the world, and for their exaltation in the eternal worlds, that they may bear the souls of men; for herein is the work of my Father continued, that he may be glorified.

64 And again, verily, verily, I say unto you, if any man have a wife, who holds the keys of this power, and he teaches unto her the law of my priesthood, as pertaining to these things, then shall she believe and administer unto him, or she shall be destroyed, saith the Lord your God; for I will destroy her; for I will magnify my name upon all those who receive and abide in my law. Sorry, Drifting - missed that little bit of appropriate sarcasm. (Not the first time I have missed such on this board, either - must be the time of day.) Thanks for the clarification.

Will leave my comment, though, because your comment was hilarious.

I find it ironic that this kind of fundamentalist Mormon-inspired goings on are deemed unacceptable in arguably the most religiously conservative region on the entire planet.
