Internet Addiction vs. Medical Marijuana

Post by _hatersinmyward »

The internet can be helpful but being online in excess is quite harmful.

Medical Marijuana can be useful but toking in excess is quite harmful.

Last time I picked up a joint to get high, however I was suffering from a chronic cough that went away the next day.

I believe Marijuana like the internet can be used for spiritual reasons, however due to my current situation I don't have a reason to toke and others (mainly Mormons) will get on my case.

I don't think Marijuana allowed for me to have spiritual revelation, it would have happened regardless, Mormons just use that as an excuse to cast me out and that's simply wrong. Any weed smoker will tell you spiritual experiences while high are few and far between, and any right thinking Mormon will say the same about spiritual experiences.

All wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man.

How can this not be considered a "wholesome herb"?:

I think a single hit, or maybe two, qualifies as "used sparingly".

I also firmly believe that:
All grain is good for the food of man; ... [especially] barley...for mild drinks...

This is one of my favorites:

Also, "used sparingly".

That strain?? it was clearly compounded for recreational purposes, I prefer a fruity scented plant with white seeds, Lesbians can't survive on their own if you get what I'm sayin.

I have nothing against a casual drink.

Anything harmful that people purposefully take into their bodies is not in harmony with the Word of Wisdom. This is especially true of illegaldrugs, which can destroythosewho becomeaddicted to them. Stay entirely away from them. Do not experiment with them. The abuse of prescription drugs also leads to destructive addiction.

If the marijuana is medicine and is legal in your area then it would appear there is no violation of WOW with the use of medical marijuana.

But the clergy is more laxed when reprimanding those who abuse prescription drugs ie:opiates, amphetamines and steroids, why? It sill violates the W.O.W. Just because your Doc says you need them doesn't always make them a necessity.
