What if Romney is elected and enacts the government changes he wants?
Will it indelibly affect the world's perception of Mormons?

If Romney's campaign promises materialize and the safety net programs of social security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc... are eliminated or changed drastically to the point of being ineffectual, the resulting aftermath will be attributed to Romney and his Mormon ideals.
The first wave of the frail elderly being hauled from their nursing home beds and deposited on freighters with dumping permits will undoubtedly make international headlines. What would come after that is uncertain. If social unrest becomes rampant then certain measures might force the one mighty and strong, as shown by recent balloting, to unleash hordes of missionary Pinkertons in order to quell the godless liberal crowds and restore law and order.

What will it mean if Romney is elected president and baptismal rates stay exactly as stagnate as they are now?
Mormonism seems to be a great religion to be born into (because the child has no choice in the matter), but a lousy one when research, reason and common sense factor in.
