Romney to embrace Mormonism?
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.
Re: Romney to embrace Mormonism?
This seems like a mistake to me. I doubt the media will constrain itself to the correlated version of Mormonism. If he starts talking about Mormonism questions about the priesthood ban and polygamy are sure to follow. Will he dodge those questions?

Re: Romney to embrace Mormonism?
here's some more people they'll be talking to, not mentioned in that link:
i happen to know the Jacksons. a very friendly couple, and also very typical Utah County style conservatives (i wonder if that will come through in the segment).
An inside look at tradition and ritual in three very different Mormon households. Kate Snow profiles Al and Juleen Jackson, an inter-racial couple, devoted to their faith and raising five children according to principles much at odds with 21st century American popular culture; Joanna Brooks, a Mormon feminist who questions whether women can truly be equal if they can’t hold positions of power in the Church, and Mitch Mayne, an openly gay Mormon man who, despite the church’s stand against homosexuality, is able to work within the church.

Re: Romney to embrace Mormonism?
more to the point of the OP, i sincerely hope Romney does open up more about his faith, and that there's a national discussion about some of his beliefs. i don't say this out of any political calculation. and i don't say this out of a desire for the church to become more generally "accepted." i say this because i want the church to become more "acceptable" and some exposure to sunlight could really help.
already we've seen the LDS church repudiate some of its past racist teachings (for first time as far as I know).
the church's political neutrality has been reemphasized, and Glen Beck and his devotees have been implicitly reprimanded.
coffee ice cream is now officially kosher.
what next?
