Why? Because every evil thing he will do in office will be projected onto the LDS religion by critics.

By your logic I should be pleased as punch at the way his current lies and distortions and fear-mongering reflect on the LDS church. Doesn't work that way though. The LDS church is very low on my list of priorities in life anymore. I may like talking about it on this obscure discussion forum somewhere out on the Internet, but on a daily basis, the LDS church has about zero impact whatsoever on my life.

Actually I'll cheer for him because every evil thing he will do in office will be projected on the Republican Party by critics.

I think that is more accurate. I think some critics are probably a little disappointed in the coverage of Mormonism to date during the campaign. I said months ago the main media and even populace have different agenda's and interests then what a critic would have, so they will probably not cover all that much of Mormonism. Perhaps if he wins they may spend more time on it to get a better look at what their new president believes. Although some people no matter how stupid the ideas were about Obama being a Muslim, and born outside the US, they still believe it as much as they do the other religious beliefs.
