Over the last few years I have heard many Mormons in public forums state that Mormons don't believe they can become gods in the afterlife. That is complete BS! When I went to church this doctrine was the key reason we all got married, ordained to the p hood, and endowed in the temple because it was a requirement of having the same power as god in the next life.

Has the church abandoned this doctrine, or are they just lying for the lord in public settings? It disappoints me. I was proud of this doctrine of eternal progression as a tbm and now they are ashamed to publicly talk about it. It is a very unique doctrine and they shouldn't run from it.

With the COB, the ends always justifies the means. PR will always take priority over principle. GBH was the worst.
