Mormon Campaign ads for Romney and Obama

With the Presidential race heating up between President Obama and Governor Romney, I thought that these would be some effective campaign ad ideas.
Campaign ad for President Obama
In the ad have President Obama make a short speech that would go something like this.
Shortly after becoming President of The United States, I had the privilege to meet with some of the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They gave me my family genealogy record which I am very grateful for.
I have a lot of respect for all of the good that the LDS church does throughout the world. The members of the LDS church make several covenants before God in their beautiful temples to live a certain way. One of these covenants that all endowed members make is to live the Law of Consecration as it is contained in the Doctrine and Covenants which is LDS official scripture.
The Law of Consecration teaches that people should be equal in their temporal things. (D&C 70:14) If people are not equal in earthly things they cannot be equal in obtaining heavenly things. (D&C 78:6) It also teaches that one man should not possess that which is above another, wherefore the world lieth in sin. (D&C 49: 20) It is God’s way to provide for his people so that the poor are exalted in that the rich are made low. (D&C 104:16) The Law teaches that every man should seek the interest of his neighbor. (D&C 82:19) and if this is done there will be no poor people. I would like to look past political differences and tell everyone that I share the beliefs of Governor Mitt Romney in that we both believe that we have a responsibility from God to elevate the poor among us and to be our brother’s keeper.
It would be most effective if in the last paragraph while President Obama says the text, if the scripture references and maybe the scripture were captioned. You can change the wording a little bit but you want to make sure the scripture meaning stays the same so if people look them up it is accurate. The scriptures that included in the ad are only the tip of the iceberg.
This campaign ad would be effective because it is not a negative attack ad on Mitt Romney or the LDS church. Voters would start to ask, “If Mitt Romney made a covenant with God to live this law, why does he not live it?”
Campaign ad for Governor Romney
In the ad have Governor Romney make a short speech that would go something like this.
I believe that President Obama is a good man and that he has a big heart for people here in the United States and around the world. I do believe that we have a responsibility from God to elevate the poor among us. We should do as the Bible says; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (James 2:8) Although I believe in helping the poor I also believe in a thing called agency. I believe that all men should be free to make their own decisions and not be compelled by Government to do things. When any organization forces people to do things, even if those things are good, agency is turned in to bondage and the members of that organization are no longer free to act on their own.
The United States of America was established to be a light to the world. It was based on the idea of personal freedom. As President of the United States I will work with all people to restore that personal freedom and encourage people to improve the lives of people in the United States as well as people around the world. Edmund Burke once said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing.” I believe that the people of the United States are Good People! Now let us get to work!
This campaign ad would be effective because it is not an attack on President Obama. It shows that Governor Romney cares for the poor. It also shows that Governor Romney believes in reducing the regulations of government.
