It is the disobedience. A "little caffeine, little nicotine, a little indulgance in alcohol" (like a glass of wine with a meal) is a slippery slope to a broken home, immorality...and DEATH!!
It is amazing that more people aren't flocking into the arms of Mormonism.

And what about Cold Coffee and Ice Tea drinks. They certainly are blessed and welcomed now. You might ask her about these drinks.
