So the church is financially contributing to a blasphemous and sacrilegious stage production. Finally, the church does something I can unequivocally support, though it does seem an odd use of sacred tithing funds.

The link shows what I am guessing is part of the church's add in the play bill, which states; "The book is always better".

That produced a snort-chuckle. They cannot give the book away, yet the broadway production has done smashingly well. Yeah, its real common dilemma for theater goers - "If I see the play first, will it ruin the book"?

Sometimes you see the movie, then read the book. Hope they are prepared for a sad ending. All the good guys die and only the darkened folk who have not kept kosher remain. Oy, no mazeltovs there.

What a great idea. Kudos to whoever came up with that idea (and the Church leader who approved it).

What are the odds the Musical will come to Utah? My bet it would be that it would do quit well.
