Ideas for another Bishop's fireside

In light of the recent FMH post recounting a sex talk given by a bishop, I would like to throw out an idea.
What do you think about the bishop gathering all the men AND women together and saying something like this:
"What we all want in our marriage is emotional connection and affection. It's not all about the sexual climax. Go ahead and see if I'm right. Try abstaining from sex for 3 months and only masturbate and tell me if that works as a substitute for true connection in your marriage. Go ahead. You have my permission to experiment. Yes, this even means you can look at "porn" if you have to...whatever that means.
What we really want in our relationship is to feel love, desire, kinship, touch, and synergy of togetherness. While masturbation and obligatory sex provide the sensation of climax, they fail to provide any deep connection or true affection to the one you love.
So, what can we do get more emotional connection and affection? Obviously, a bond between two people requires that both parties put in effort. When you come home at the end of the day, do you sit on your ass or do you help with dinner? Do you engage with the kids and ask about their homework? Do you look your spouse in the eyes when she/he talks about her/his day? What about the kindling? Do you have kindling for your fires? Do you hold hands? Do you spontaneously take each other to do interesting things? Do you plan things? Do you put in effort to secure your future? Do you take the time to talk? Do you watch erotic movies like Downton Abbey or Pride and Prejudice together? Do you talk about what songs are sexy (i.e. Cake's Short Skirt or Dave Matthews' Hike your skirt up...)? Do you fantasize about hot men/women/superheroes/villains/fawns/etc?
If you aren't doing those things, then you might as well take up masturbation if you feel like you want more sex. If you feel like you do all the work and your spouse is lazy, then you need to talk about it without sounding accusatory. Go, dress this garden, and find joy therein.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
Boy, this made me realize I need to step things up a bit and get off my ass. What do you think? Am I too idealistic?
