whyme and his man-crush on DCP.
WHYme, what's with your hardon for DCP?
OR is it that you really Bradford isn't Temple.worthy for sacking DCP?
I think what is sad is how easily you fall into DCP martyrdom/pity party.
Good grief man get a hold of yourself.
Here is something to think about.....,the new semester has started Dan is still fired, thus, the Brethern did nothing to reverse the firing.
Given that the Brethern have done nothing do you still consider Bradford unworthy to attend the Temple?

Re: whyme and his man-crush on DCP.
My concern actually has nothing to do with Dan but rather to how he has been treated. He has been treated unfairly by people who are active in the LDS church. They should behave better. I would defend most people who are being treated wrongly.
It is called empathy. In this case it just happens to be Dan. Lets face it, if Dan were a LDS critic and he was being treated this way, the board here would come to his defense. Right?

Other than being "fired" by email, in what way has Dan been treated unfairly by people who are active in the church?

Your assessment of this little dispute is not very objective. Whereas I admire and respect Dr. Peterson, I also admire and respect the institution for whom he works. Therefore, a rational person would not anonymously slander the reputations of real people in a dispute like this without at least hearing from both sides. Because BYU cannot speak out publicly on a personnel matter, the most judicious course an anonymite such as yourself would do would be not to trash Dr. Bradford. I might feel differently about your attack on Dr. Bradford's moral character if you attached a name to your slander, but for now, I think you are low.

I don't attack anybody. I never have. But all this could have been done better. Something went wrong here. Don't you agree? By the way who told him to vacate his office, do you know? I don't.

Not quite. I said that in my gospel if someone fires someone by email and treats another human unfairly that would be more serious than fornicating. That is how I view the gospel. People need to treat one another with fairness and with love, especially in the church. Do you agree? I know that I would not want to be fired by email by a fellow church member. I would feel hurt that it was done that way. See my point? And Dan was hurt by his experience.
And I am not referring just to Dan but across the board. People should not be fired by email, text message etc. It should be done by conversation.

Why Me,
Since BYU, COB, MI, and Bradford have not publicly told their side of the story, let's assume that DCP was treated unfairly for all intents and purposes of this post. Do you think DCP's very public reaction and ensuing statements, posts, and writings from him, Hamblin, and their ilk could be construed as mature or rational? Has DCP turned the other cheek or made lemonade with these lemons, or has he behaved like a petulant child? Has his public bad mouthing of his former boss and employer shown signs of dignity or taking the high road?
Even if you respect DCP and are a fan of his work, can you at least admit he has handled the aftermath horribly and has probably caused more harm to himself and his professional reputation than Bradford ever did?
Tapirs... Yeah... That's the ticket!

Read my post again. If it is worse than fornification according to the gospel of why me....
But I am also speaking generally. I have always considered the treatment of others as more important than sexual sins. If an LDS boss treats his workers badly, bullies his workers etc....this is worse than the sin of fornication. LDS should know the gospel of love and give respect to his or her fellow brothers and sisters. We are all members of the same spirit family with the same heavenly parents.
